Also under existing law, a parolee may spend time in holding prior to the board imposing a term of confinement for a violation of a condition of parole. This bill would provide that a parolee shall receive a reduction of the term of confinement imposed by the board for time spent in holding, pending the imposition of the period of confinement. This bill also would apply retroactively to any person currently serving a period of confinement for violating a condition of parole. This bill would provide a minimum period of incarceration for a person convicted of human trafficking of a minor.
