2021, Birmingham will host The Eleventh World Games, an international sports event led by
the International World Games Association. Each of the participating nations' teams will bring
delegations consisting of competing athletes, as well as trainers and doctors for their athletes
and coaches. This bill establishes a limited exemption from licensure, registration, and certification
requirements for nonresident medical professionals who are licensed in their home country
and credentialed by the World Games to provide health services during the World Games. This
bill would provide procedures for authorizing consent of a minor athlete to receive hospital,
