RFD Judiciary Rd 1 04-FEB-20 SYNOPSIS: Under existing law, when a parolee under the supervision
of the Board of Pardons and Paroles has violated a condition of parole, other than being arrested
or convicted of a new offense or absconding, the parole court may recommend and the board
may impose a term of confinement of no more than 45 days. Also under existing law, a parolee
may spend time in holding prior to the board imposing a term of confinement for a violation
of a condition of parole. This bill would provide that a parolee shall receive a reduction
of the term of confinement imposed by the board for time spent in holding, pending the imposition
of the period of confinement. This bill also would apply retroactively to any person currently

for the injury and provides for the administration of matters relating to the lien. This bill
would require a hospital that provides medical treatment to an injured person to seek compensation
solely from that person's health insurance provider, with the exception of approved copayments
and deductibles, unless certain circumstances apply. This bill would also allow a hospital
to perfect a hospital lien against any recovery the injured person may be awarded for injuries

license to a licensed private investigator apprentice who successfully completes an internship
in a specified time and passes an examination. This bill would require private investigation
agencies that do business within the state to be licensed by the board and meet certain requirements.
