ALABAMA:Section 1. Section 17-3-8, Code of Alabama 1975, as amended by Act 2019-439, 2019
Regular Session, is amended to read as follows: §17-3-8. "(a) Each member of the board
of registrars in the Counties of Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Escambia, Geneva, Lowndes,
Perry, Sumter, and Wilcox may meet a maximum of 120 working days each fiscal year; each member
of the board of registrars in the Counties of Barbour, Blount, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Lee,
Marengo, Pickens, Pike, Randolph, and Winston may meet a maximum of 168 working days each

six and one-half percent of net income and allowed to deduct federal income taxes paid or
accrued during the taxpayers tax year. Under existing law, corporate income taxpayers are
taxed at a rate equal to six and one-half percent of taxable income and allowed to deduct
federal income taxes paid or accrued within the year. Under existing law, the apportionment
factor for most corporate income taxpayers is calculated using a three-factor apportionment
formula, with the sales factor double-weighted. The 2017 federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act eliminated
or limited business deductions and created new classes of income for corporate income taxpayers.
