SB254 By Senator Livingston ENROLLED, An Act, Relating to Jackson County; to provide for the establishment, administration, and financing of the county law library; and to provide for the assessment of a law library fee in all cases in the Circuit and District Courts of Jackson County. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. This act shall apply only in Jackson County. Section 2. The Jackson County Commission shall maintain a county law library in the county. Section 3. In each case filed in the Circuit Court and District Court of Jackson County, there shall be assessed a law library fee in the amount of two dollars ($2). The fee shall be collected as other court costs and fees collected by the circuit clerk. Not later than the tenth day of the month, the fees collected during the preceding month shall be deposited by the circuit clerk in the county treasury to the credit of a special fund designated the County Law Library Fund.
