of prostitution is not a public record and may not be published without a court order. This
bill would allow the disclosure of a certain person's photograph after an arrest for prostitution.
A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT Relating to prostitution; to amend Section 13A-6-183, Code of
Alabama 1975, to allow the disclosure of a certain person's photograph after a conviction
for prostitution. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:Section 1. Section 13A-6-183,
Code of Alabama 1975, is amended to read as follows: §13A-6-183. "(a) For the safety
and well-being of a person arrested for the crime of prostitution under Division 2 of Article
3 of Chapter 12, he or she may be held in custody for up to 72 hours. The person shall be

of the Board of Pardons and Paroles has violated a condition of parole, other than being arrested
or convicted of a new offense or absconding, the parole court may recommend and the board
may impose a term of confinement of no more than 45 days. Also under existing law, a parolee
may spend time in holding prior to the board imposing a term of confinement for a violation
of a condition of parole. This bill would provide that a parolee shall receive a reduction
of the term of confinement imposed by the board for time spent in holding, pending the imposition
of the period of confinement. This bill also would apply retroactively to any person currently
