SB181 By Senators Figures, Dunn, Ross, Marsh, Pittman, Beasley and Orr ENROLLED, An Act, To amend Section 40-9-12, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to exemptions from taxes, licenses, and fees; to provide for a definition of the United Way and other united appeal funds; and to provide that united appeal funds that already hold a Certificate of Exemption issued by the Department of Revenue in good standing are deemed to be within the definitions. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. This act shall be known as the Tax Exemption Reform Act of 2017.Section 2. Section 40-9-12, Code of Alabama 1975, is amended to read as follows: §40-9-12.
