This bill would require all future concealed pistol permits issued to contain a color, laminated
identification photograph of the permittee. This bill would allow the sheriff to reasonably
adjust fees associated with the production of concealed pistol permits under this section.
A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT Relating to concealed pistol permits; to amend Section 13A-11-75
of the Code of Alabama 1975, to require that all concealed pistol permits issued contain a

SB330 SYNOPSIS: Under existing law, a sheriff may issue or renew a pistol permit to or for
any person residing in the county in which he or she has jurisdiction. This bill would allow
a sheriff to issue or renew a pistol permit to or for a person residing in any county in the
state. This bill would also provide that the permit issuing sheriff or the sheriff of the
county in which the permittee resides may revoke a permit and would require that a duplicate
of the pistol permit wherever issued be delivered to the sheriff of the county in which the
