to amend Section 45-30A-50.03 of the Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the organization of
the civil service board; to further provide for the salary of the board. BE IT ENACTED BY
THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:Section 1. Section 45-30A-50.03 of the Code of Alabama 1975, is
amended to read as follows: §45-30A-50.03. "The personnel program established by this
part shall be administered by the board. The board shall consist of five members who are residents
of the city and who shall be appointed by the governing body. No member of the board shall
be employed by or be an official of the city, nor hold any elective public office. The composition
