Rd 1 12-APR-16 SYNOPSIS: Under existing law, the State Medicaid Agency may contract with an
alternate care provider only in limited circumstances such as if no regional care organization
has been certified in the region or if a regional care organization loses its probationary
certification. Under existing law, a regional care organization has until October 1, 2016,
to obtain its full certification, and all probationary certifications expire on October 1,
2016. This bill would authorize the State Medicaid Agency to establish a later date for obtaining
regional care organization certification and would authorize probationary certification to
