to authorize the county commission to establish a mail fee in the probate office. BE IT ENACTED
BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. In Marengo County, the county commission may establish
a mail fee in the probate office in an amount of up to five dollars ($5) for the issuance,
renewal, and mailing of each registration, receipt, certificate, license, land record, copy,
or other requested or required paperwork or documentation requested or renewed online, by
mail, or by phone that is delivered by mail. Any fees collected shall be deposited on a regular
basis in the county general fund. Section 2. This act shall become effective on the first
day of the third month following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise
