Commission shall continue to be elected as provided by law and shall hold office for four
years, except the term of office for members representing District 2 and District 4 on the
effective date of this act shall be extended for two years, making their current term of office
six years in order to provide for staggered terms of the commission. After the extension of
the current term of office of the members representing District 2 and District 4, the term
of all of the members and the at-large chair of the county commission shall be four years.
