1 10-MAR-15 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT Relating to Hale County; to create the Hale County
Sheriff Service of Process Serving Fund; to further provide for service of process in the
county; to provide that the sheriff may contract with or enter into agreement with a private,
public, or governmental entity for the purpose of service of process; to set the fee for civil
or criminal documents with certain exceptions; and to provide for the disposition of funds.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. (a) This section shall apply only
to Hale County. (b) The Hale County Sheriff Service of Process Serving Fund is created and
hereinafter referred to as the Fund. (c) The Sheriff of Hale County, except for warrants for
arrest, may contract with or enter into agreement with a private, public, or governmental
