if it fits into his or her schedule. This bill would establish a program allowing eligible
11th and 12th grade students admitted unconditionally to an eligible Alabama public postsecondary
institution to take all courses at the eligible public institution and receive high school
credit for the course work with the goal of completing graduation and high school diploma
requirements. This bill would authorize the Department of Education to pay an institution
of higher learning for courses taken pursuant to the program through appropriation of state
funds, the amount being the lesser of either the actual cost of tuition or the amount the
student would have earned for the local school system had the student been in equivalent instructional

to delete records of sales transactions from cash register records, so that sales taxes are
under-reported to the state, county, and municipal tax collecting authorities. This bill would
make the possession or use of an automated sales suppression device, or phantom-ware a felony,
punished by a fine of not more than $100,000, or $500,000 in the case of a corporation, or
imprisonment for not more than three years, or both, and the person would be liable for all

1 31-MAR-15 SYNOPSIS: Under existing law, the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA)
provides uniform rules for the enforcement of family support orders. In 1996, as a condition
of state eligibility for federal funding of child support enforcement, Congress mandated that
each state enact the UIFSA. In 2008, the Uniform Law Commission amended UIFSA to incorporate
the provisions of the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support of Family
Maintenance into state law. The Convention contains provisions that establish uniform procedures
for the processing of international child support cases. In 2014, Congress enacted the Preventing
Sex Trafficking and Strengthening Families Act. That act required each state to expeditiously
