Existing law establishes the process and requirement for being licensed to practice psychology in the state. This bill would clarify that the board is comprised of eight members and that one of those members shall be primarily engaged in teaching, research, or administration. This bill would revise the process for a licensee to request that the board designate a license as inactive to authorize the board to assess an inactive licensee fee. This bill would require an applicant for a license to submit fingerprints and execute criminal history information release and would require the Alabama Bureau of Investigation to forward the fingerprints to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
