BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: Section 1. This act shall only apply in Houston County. Section 2. (a) Subject to the provisions of Section 3, and except as otherwise provided in subsection (b), the sale of alcoholic beverages for off-premises consumption on Sundays between the hours of 1:00 P.M. and midnight is authorized within Houston County by properly licensed retail licensees of the Alcohol Beverage Control Board. (b) Any municipality in Houston County except the City of Dothan, by ordinance or resolution of the municipal governing body, may opt out of the provisions of subsection (a). Section 3.
