(a) Commencing on the first day of the month immediately following the effective date of this act, the Sheriff of Lowndes County shall be entitled to an additional expense allowance in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) per annum, which shall be in addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or salary provided by law.
