SB70 By Senator Ward ENROLLED, An Act, To propose an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, relating to Shelby County, to provide procedures for nominations to the Governor by the Shelby County Judicial Commission to fill vacancies in the office of judge of probate. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:Section 1. The following amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, is proposed and shall become valid as a part of the Constitution when all requirements of this act are fulfilled: PROPOSED AMENDMENT In the event of a vacancy in the office of the Judge of Probate of Shelby County, the vacancy shall be filled from nominations to the Governor by the Shelby County Judicial Commission established by Amendment 804 to this Constitution pursuant to the same procedures provided in Amendment 804 for filling a vacancy in the office of a judge of the circuit or district court in the county.
