ENROLLED, An Act,

To adopt and incorporate into the Code of Alabama 1975, those general and permanent laws of the state enacted during the 2014 Regular Session as contained in the 2014 Cumulative Supplement to certain volumes of the code and 2014 Replacement Volumes 5, 5A, 16, and 19; to initially adopt and incorporate into the Code of Alabama 1975, 2014 Volume 22I (Local Laws Jefferson County) and to adopt and incorporate into the Code of Alabama 1975, 2014 Cumulative Supplements to local law volumes; to make certain corrections in the replacement volumes and certain volumes of the cumulative supplement; to specify that this adoption and incorporation constitute a continuous systematic codification of the entire Code of Alabama 1975, and that this act is a law that adopts a code; to declare that the Code Publisher has certified it has discharged its duties regarding the replacement volumes; to expressly provide that this act does not affect any other 2015 session statutes; and to specify the duties of the Secretary of State regarding the custody of these cumulative supplements, replacement volumes, and initial volume.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:

Section 1. (a) Those general and permanent laws of the state enacted during the 2014 Regular Session as contained in the 2014 Cumulative Supplements to Volumes 3 and 4, inclusive, Volumes 6 to 15A, inclusive, Volumes 16A to 18A, inclusive, and Volumes 19A to 22, inclusive, and the 2014 Replacement Volumes 5, 5A, 16, and 19 and the additions and deletions made by the Code Commissioner for editorial purposes, as edited and published by West Group, as the Code Publisher, which volumes of the 2014 Cumulative Supplement and 2014 Replacement Volumes are identified and authenticated by the Great Seal of the State of Alabama placed upon the front and back of each of the volumes of the cumulative supplement and upon the first inside page and the last inside page of the replacement volume, are adopted and incorporated into the Code of Alabama 1975.

(b) The following corrections are made to the 2014 Cumulative Supplements:

(1) Section 20-2-23, 2014 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 14A, page 15. To correct a publishing error which resulted in the inadvertent deletion of part of a word, at the beginning of subparagraph 35. of paragraph b., subdivision (4) of subsection (b) delete "7-methoxy-1-(2-morpholinoethyl)-N-((1S,2S,4R)-1,3,3-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-yl)-1H-i," and replace it with the following:

7-methoxy-1-(2-morpholinoethyl)-N-((1S,2S,4R)-1,3,3-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-yl)-1H-indole-3-carboxamide,

(2) Section 11-51-191, 2008 Replacement Volume 9, page 559. To update the reference and citation to conform to Act 2014-146, which created the Alabama Tax Tribunal, at the end of subsection (f) delete "Department of Revenue's Administrative Law Division under Section 40-2A-9" and replace it with the following:

Alabama Tax Tribunal under Chapter 2B of Title 40.

(3) Section 12-10A-1, 2012 Replacement Volume 11, page 147. To reflect the adoption of the recommendations of the Judicial Compensation Commission by the Legislature in Act 2006-119, the following language is added after subsection (e):

(f) Effective April 23, 2006, notwithstanding subsection (e), the provisions of subsection (d), which provide for additional compensation based on bench experience are reinstated, as they apply to circuit and district judges only.

(4) Section 40-2A-10, 2011 Replacement Volume 21, page 94. To update the reference and citation to conform to Act 2014-146, which created the Alabama Tax Tribunal, in subsection (d) replace "subsection (m) of Section 40-2A-9" with "Chapter 2B" and "administrative law judge" with Alabama Tax Tribunal judge" and "Administrative Law Division" with "Alabama Tax Tribunal"

(5) Section 40-2A-11, 2014 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 21, page 39. To update the reference to conform to Act 2014-146, which created the Alabama Tax Tribunal, in subsection (f) replace "administrative law division" with "Alabama Tax Tribunal"

(6) Section 40-17-335, 2011 Replacement Volume 21A, page 112. To update the references and citations to conform to Act 2014-146, which created the Alabama Tax Tribunal, in subsection (c) replace "Administrative Law Division" with "Alabama Tax Tribunal" in two places and replace "Chapter 2A" with "Chapter 2B" and in subsection (d) replace "Administrative Law Division" with "Alabama Tax Tribunal" and replace "Chapter 2A" with "Chapter 2B"

(7) Section 40-17-336, 2011 Replacement Volume 21A, page 113. To update the reference and citation to conform to Act 2014-146, which created the Alabama Tax Tribunal, in subsection (c) replace "Administrative Law Division" with "Alabama Tax Tribunal" and "Chapter 2A" with "Chapter 2B"

(8) Section 40-29-90, 2011 Replacement Volume 21A, page 791. To update the reference and citation to conform to Act 2014-146, which created the Alabama Tax Tribunal, in subsection (e) replace "Administrative Law Division" with "Alabama Tax Tribunal" in two places and replace "Chapter 2A" with "Chapter 2B"

(9) Section 40-29-91, 2011 Replacement Volume 21A, page 792. To update the reference and citation to conform to Act 2014-146, which created the Alabama Tax Tribunal, in subsection (e) replace "Administrative Law Division" with "Alabama Tax Tribunal" in two places and replace "Chapter 2A" with "Chapter 2B"

Section 2. Those local and permanent laws of the state previously enacted and contained in initial 2014 Volume 22I (Local Laws Jefferson County) and the local and permanent laws pertaining to various counties enacted during the 2014 Regular Session as contained in the 2014 Cumulative Supplement to Volumes 22B, 22C, 22D, 22E, 22F, 22G, and 22H and the additions and deletions made by the Code Commissioner for editorial purposes, as edited and published by West Group, as the Code Publisher, which volumes of the 2014 Cumulative Supplement are identified and authenticated by the Great Seal of the State of Alabama placed upon the front and back of each of the volumes of the cumulative supplement, are adopted and incorporated into the Code of Alabama 1975.

Section 3. The adoption and incorporation of the supplements and replacement volumes specified in this act shall constitute a continuous systematic codification of the entire Code of Alabama 1975, for purposes of Section 85 of the Official Recompilation of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended. This act is a law that adopts a code for the purposes of Section 45 of the Official Recompilation of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, as amended.

Section 4. It is declared that West Group, as the Code Publisher, has certified that it has discharged its duties and responsibilities to edit and publish 2014 Replacement Volumes 5, 5A, 16, and 19 of the Code of Alabama 1975, by combining the material in the previous bound volumes with the material contained in the cumulative supplement without making substantive changes, but making, under the supervision and pursuant to the direction of the Code Commissioner, nonsubstantive changes and corrections as may have resulted from changes in reference numbers, changes of names and titles of governmental departments, agencies, and officers, typographical errors, grammatical changes, and misspellings.

Section 5. The adoption of this act shall not repeal, supersede, amend, or in any other way affect any statute enacted into law during any 2015 session of the Legislature.

Section 6. Upon passage and approval of this act, the duly authenticated volumes of the 2014 Cumulative Supplements and the 2014 Replacement Volumes shall be transmitted to the Secretary of State, who shall file the volumes of the supplements and the replacement volumes in that office. The volumes of the supplements and replacement volumes shall not be removed from the office of the Secretary of State, but the Secretary of State, upon request, under proper certificate and seal of that office, shall certify any part or parts thereof upon payment of the fee specified by law for similar services.

Section 7. This act shall become effective immediately following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
