| Body: | Section 25-9-8 Certificate of competency for fire bosses and mine foremen - Required. (a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person shall act as fire boss in any coal mine in this state unless he is in possession of a certificate of competency. (b) No person shall be employed as mine foreman in any coal mine in this state unless he is in possession of a certificate of competency as provided for in this article.
