Body: | Section 45-19-70.01 Membership requirements. Each member of the Coosa County Commission shall represent a separate district. Only the qualified electors residing in a district may vote to elect the commissioner representing the respective district. No person shall be eligible as a candidate for county commission unless he or she is a bona fide resident of the district that he or she seeks to represent. A member of the county commission shall reside in the district he or she represents during his or her term of office. (Act 94-556, p. 1022, ยง2.) |
