Body: | Section 34-5-16 Penalties. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall engage in any of the practices designated to be within the meaning of this chapter, or act in any capacity wherein a certificate or license is required without a certificate or license provided in this chapter, or shall in any other form or manner violate any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not to exceed $100 or shall be imprisoned for no more than 90 days or both and, if a corporation, shall be punished by a fine of no more than $500. After official notice of such violation, each day of operation or practice constitutes a separate violation. (Acts 1971, No. 403, p. 689, ยง10.) |
