| Body: | Section 23-1-53 Contracts to do work - Authority. The State Department of Transportation may enter into contracts with any of the counties of the state or with any of the municipalities of this state, as it may with individuals, firms, or private corporations, to do any work in the construction, repair, or maintenance of the roads, bridges, or highways in this state.
