| Body: | Section 16-22-4 Surety bonds. All bonds of officials and employees required under the provisions of this title shall be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Alabama and, unless otherwise provided, approved by the State Superintendent of Education. The said bonds shall, unless otherwise provided, be filed in the office of the Department of Education in Montgomery, unless otherwise instructed by the State Board of Education. In all cases where bonds are not filed in the office of the Department of Education, certified copies thereof shall be filed in such department. (School Code 1927, §587; Code 1940, T. 52, §535.) |
