Body: | Section 11-50-370 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) PUBLIC CORPORATION. Any of the following: A municipality incorporated under the laws of this state; a board organized under Sections 11-50-230 through 11-50-238, 11-50-240 and 11-50-241, inclusive, as amended; a board organized under Sections 11-50-310 through 11-50-324, as amended; and a board organized under Sections 11-50-340 through 11-50-358, as amended. (2) PUBLIC WATER CORPORATION. Any public corporation which owns and operates a water distribution system or which has the corporate power and proposes to own and operate a water distribution system. (3) SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM. Any or all of the following: Sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer laterals, a sewage disposal plant or plants, and a sewage treatment plant or plants and appurtenances related to any thereof. (4) PUBLIC SEWER CORPORATION. Any public corporation which owns and operates a sanitary sewer system or which has the corporate power and proposes to own and operate a sanitary sewer system.
