Body: | Section 11-44C-32 Mayor - Filing as candidate; qualifying fee. Any person desiring to become a candidate in any election for the office of mayor may become such candidate by filing in the office of the city clerk a statement in writing of such candidacy as required by the general municipal election laws. Said statement shall be accompanied by a qualifying fee in the amount of $500.00, which qualifying fee shall be paid into the general fund of the city. (Acts 1985, No. 85-229, p. 96, ยง32.) |
