ENROLLED, An Act,

Relating to Baldwin County; to amend Section 45-2-110 of the Code of Alabama 1975, relating to the compensation of the members of the board of registrars, to provide for a county expense allowance.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:Section 1. Section 45-2-110 of the Code of Alabama 1975, is amended to read as follows:

ยง45-2-110.

"(a) In Baldwin County, in addition to any and all other compensation, salary, and expense allowance provided for by law, there may be paid to each member of the board of registrars an increase in salary in such amount as will together with any amount paid by the state, as compensation, salary, or expense allowance, make the total paid to such members equal one hundred dollars ($100) per day. If the amount paid to such members as compensation, salary, or expense allowance by the state increases in the future, then the amount paid by the county under this section automatically decreases in like amount a county salary supplement expense allowance in the amount of forty dollars ($40) per day. The amount paid under this section shall be paid out of the county general fund in the same manner as other county officials are paid.

""(b) In addition to the county expense allowance salary supplement provided in subsection (a), for six months after the effective date of the act adding this subsection, each member of the board of registrars may be paid an additional salary supplement expense allowance of twenty dollars ($20) per day. The amount paid under this subsection shall be paid out of the county general fund in the same manner as subsection (a).

Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
