ENROLLED, An Act,

Relating to Mobile County; to provide for the annual salary of the two appointed nonmerit system personnel employed in the Revenue Commissioner's Office of Mobile County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:

Section 1. Commencing on the first day of the month immediately following the effective date of this act, the salary of the executive secretary to the Mobile County Revenue Commissioner shall be the same as the salary of the secretaries to the Mobile County Commissioners, payable in equal monthly installments upon warrants drawn from the county treasury in the same manner as county employees.

Section 2. Commencing on the first day of the month immediately following the effective date of this act, the salary of the chief clerk of the Mobile County Revenue Commissioner shall be sixty-five thousand dollars ($65,000) per year payable in equal monthly installments upon warrants paid, one-half from the county treasury and one-half from the state reappraisal budget. Thereafter, the chief clerk shall receive the same cost-of-living increases granted to merit system employees of Mobile County.

Section 3. All laws or parts of laws which conflict with this act are repealed. Act 81-508 of the 1981 Regular Session (Acts 1981, p. 870), is specifically repealed.

Section 4. This act shall become effective immediately following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
