A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT

Relating to a Class 4 municipality organized pursuant to Chapter 44B of Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975; providing for the date of the election of the mayor, members of the city council, and members of the City of Tuscaloosa Board of Education.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:

Section 1. This act shall only apply in a Class 4 municipality organized pursuant to Chapter 44B of Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975.

Section 2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any Class 4 municipality organized pursuant to Chapter 44B, commencing with Section 11-44B-1 of Title 11 of the Code of Alabama 1975, the election for the mayor, members of the city council, and members of the city board of education of the Class 4 municipality shall be held on the first Tuesday in March and every four years thereafter.

Section 3. This act shall become effective immediately following its passage and approval by the Governor, or its otherwise becoming law.
